S&P Chimes In On JPM CMBS Deal July 09, 2010

Standard & Poor’s published an unsolicited comment on JPMorgan’s recent $716 million commercial mortgage-backed securities offering, the first conduit/fusion deal the market has seen in two years. S&P chose to comment on the deal because it was the first of its kind since the new S&P criteria for conduit/fusion CMBS deals went into effect, and because it believed its comment could add value to investors. It released the comments on June 22.
