AmericaVest Financial is launching a broker-dealer through a joint venture with broker Dinosaur Securities. Jordan Waring, ceo of the startup, which is called AGS, sees opportunity for a new entrant in this field with an international presence and balance sheet, in addition to a knowledgeable sales force. “There’s probably a lot of very knowledgeable firms out there that will fail because knowledge alone isn’t enough, having good relationships isn’t going to be enough anymore,” he said.
