BlackRock, Morgan Stanley Win CDO Of The Year Award
BlackRock and Morgan Stanley nabbed the prize for the most outstanding collateralized debt obligation in Total Securitization’s and Derivative Week’s 2007 Global Derivatives & European Securitization Awards held on Nov. 28 at the Millennium Hotel in London. Anthracite Euro CRE CDO 2006-1 broke the ice on the European commercial real estate CDO market and established a framework for the new asset class. Barclays Capital and The Royal Bank of Scotland landed the prize for best asset-backed securities deal for their work on the Arsenal Securities transaction. Carador/Washington Square was presented with the Investor of the Year Award for helping introduce a new segment of investors to CDO equity and expanding the CDO universe.
