This week Total Securitization announces the nominees for the fourth annual Global Derivatives & European Securitization Awards. While the European market continues to thaw itself out from the credit freeze, there were still some bright spots to be lauded. After considerable polling and consultation with market players, TS has come up with a slate of 19 nominees over six categories.
As the industry has undergone a sea change, so have we adapted the awards. We've rolled the deal of the year categories in ABS, CDOs, CMBS and MBS to just recognize the European deal of the year and the emerging market deal of the year. We have also done away with the firm of the year categories as the clamor for nominations in that area was not exactly defeaning. The winners will be announced at the awards dinner at the Four Seasons Canary Wharf in London on Oct. 6.
